Privacy Statement KSA
We believe it is important that you understand how we process your personal data. For this reason, we ask you to read the text below carefully as it contains important information about the RYOBI Tool website for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“KSA”) (this/our “Site”) and the way in which we process your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we process the personal data of visitors to our Site, including those who contact us and those whose personal data we otherwise process in the course of our business. We will only process personal data in the ways described in this Privacy Policy and in ways that are consistent with our obligations and your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (the “PDPL”) and its implementing regulations.
WHO WE ARE
Under applicable data protection laws, including the PDPL, the data controller (in other words, the organisation that determines how and for what purposes your personal data is processed) will be the KSA Distributor and/or the relevant group company or affiliate of Techtronic Industries EMEA Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”), depending on the processing activity concerned. RYOBI Tool is a trading name of Techtronic Industries UK Ltd and other members of the corporate group.
Controller and distributor roles. We operate in KSA through Khusheim Company for Industrial Equipment, with registration number 2050001717 and address, F44F+MCH, Khaleej Road, Ash Shati Ash Sharqi, Dammam 32413, Saudi Arabia (the “KSA Distributor”). Unless a separate written arrangement states otherwise, the KSA Distributor is responsible, as controller, for the personal data it collects and uses for local sales, delivery, installation, repairs, warranty administration, customer support, returns, local promotions, complaints and other distributor activities. The relevant TTI group company may act as a separate, independent controller for personal data it receives and determines how to use, including for product registration, warranty support, customer care, marketing preferences, group reporting, legal compliance, fraud prevention and the improvement of products and services. Where one party processes personal data on behalf of the other, the parties will define their respective controller, processor or independent-controller responsibilities.
Local notices. The KSA Distributor will provide notices at or before the point of collection of your personal data, setting out its identity and contact details, the personal data collected, the purposes of processing, whether providing your data is mandatory or optional and the consequences of not providing it, the categories of recipients, the retention criteria, your rights and request channels, cross-border transfer details, security measures, breach handling and complaint routes. Local website, campaign, e-commerce, consumer, advertising, telecoms, electronic communications and online content notices will also be provided where relevant to the KSA activity.
We have included a list of the territories and the relevant data controllers in section 13 of this Privacy Policy – you can see it below, but if you are unsure who the controller is in relation to your data, please do not hesitate to contact us on the

HOW WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND WHAT ARE THE GROUNDS FOR DOING SO
When we process your personal data, we must ensure that we have a valid legal basis (or “legitimate basis”) for that data processing. Below we have described the ways in which we process your data and the relevant legal basis.
Under the PDPL, where we rely on your consent as the lawful basis for processing we will obtain your explicit, opt-in consent before processing, keep a record of that consent, and allow you to withdraw it at any time. The relevant controller will identify and document an appropriate lawful basis for each processing activity. Where we or the KSA Distributor use analytics, profiling, personalisation, product recommendations, customer support tools, advertising measurement or AI-assisted tools, we will do so on an appropriate lawful basis or with consent where required, and we will not make decisions based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you unless permitted by applicable law and subject to appropriate safeguards.

COOKIES
Our Site uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our Site. This helps us provide you with a good experience when you browse our Site and allows us to improve both it and our services.
We also place tracking cookies in our marketing emails as this helps us improve our marketing activities - for example, these cookies allow us to see how many people open our emails, what time of day they open them and whether they click on the information contained in them.
For detailed information about the cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them, please see our KSA Cookie Policy: [
https://ae.ryobitools.eu/footer-links-ar/cookie-statement-ksa/].
For the Saudi market, no advertising cookies, pixels, tags, retargeting tools or other third-party tracking technologies will be added, changed or activated without prior approval, appropriate notice and any required prior consent. Non-essential analytics, functionality, targeting, advertising, profiling and similar tracking technologies will be configured to obtain any required consent, record your preferences and allow you to withdraw or change your preferences easily. Marketing communications, advertising content and promotions will comply with applicable KSA requirements relating to e-commerce, consumer protection, advertising, telecoms, electronic communications and online content.
SECURITY
We take the security of your personal data very seriously and have implemented physical, technical, operational and administrative strategies and measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use and disclosure, as required by law and in accordance with accepted good industry practices. We will always monitor this to ensure that the measures we have implemented are up to date.
Unfortunately (as you may already know), the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we make every effort to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.
We, the KSA Distributor and relevant service providers use Site logs, security tools and fraud detection processes to protect the Site and local channels, to investigate suspected misuse and to comply with applicable cybercrime and cybersecurity obligations. Where a personal data breach occurs, we will handle it in accordance with the PDPL, including notifying the competent Saudi authority and affected individuals where and as required.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Our corporate group:
RYOBI is one of the brands that are part of the TTI group of companies. You can find out more about the other brands in our group
here.
We may share your personal data with other companies in our corporate group for the purposes of administering our relationship with you.
We rely on our legitimate interests for this purpose.
Our group companies are located around the world (including Hong Kong and the USA) and this may result in your personal data being transferred outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (as discussed in more detail in the section “Where your personal data may be processed” below).
When we transfer your personal data between companies in the TTI group, we always implement appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data as required by the PDPL, which may include standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules or transfer to a recipient holding an appropriate certificate of accreditation, together with any transfer assessment required under applicable KSA law.
Third-party suppliers and service providers involved in our contractual relationship with you:
Like most commercial companies, we work with suppliers and service providers in the course of our daily business. Some of these trusted providers will process your personal data on our behalf and provide us with services such as website hosting and delivery fulfilment.
We will always require them to meet agreed standards for protecting your data and they will only be allowed to use the data to provide services to us and not for their own commercial purposes. If any of these providers are based outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (i.e. in a territory where local laws may not provide the same level of protection for your data), we will implement safeguards to ensure that your personal data is protected in accordance with our obligations under the PDPL and applicable data protection law.
Other scenarios in which we may share your personal data:
with our professional advisors, including tax, legal and other corporate advisors, who provide professional services to us and the corporate group as a whole where necessary to protect our legitimate interests. These advisors process your personal data in accordance with an agreement they have with us and under strict instructions, to the extent necessary to carry out the activities for which they are engaged;
to providers of analytical services or search engines, including Google, which allow us to optimise and improve the quality of browsing on our Site (for more information about the use of cookies and similar technologies, please see our KSA Cookie Policy:

In the event that we are considering the sale or purchase of a business or assets, we will provide your personal data to any potential seller or buyer of such business or assets.
in the event of insolvency (e.g. compulsory administrative measures or liquidation).
if we, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case the personal data we hold about our members and customers will constitute one of the transferred assets.
to fulfil or enforce the terms of purchase, the KSA Terms of Use or other general terms and conditions governing our relationship.
to protect the rights, property, or safety of our employees, customers, or others. This includes sharing personal information with other companies and organisations (including, without limitation, local police or other local law enforcement agencies) for purposes related to employee and customer safety, crime prevention, fraud protection, and credit risk reduction.
if we are under a duty to provide or share your personal data to comply with legal obligations or regulatory requirements, or for the prevention or detection of fraud or crime.
Where the KSA Distributor shares personal data with TTI group companies, service providers, retailers, repair centres, logistics providers, marketing and analytics providers, professional advisers, regulators, courts and law enforcement authorities, and where TTI receives personal data from the KSA Distributor, the parties will define their respective controller, processor or independent-controller responsibilities (including instructions, confidentiality, security, breach cooperation, retention, deletion and transfer obligations) and will keep records relating to notices, consents, marketing preferences, approvals, transfer assessments, incidents, requests and complaints.
WHERE YOUR PERSONAL DATA MAY BE PROCESSED
We may transfer your personal data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where local laws may not provide the same legal protection for your personal data as applies in KSA. Examples of when your personal data may be processed outside KSA include the purposes of providing support services. Similarly, some of our trusted third-party suppliers may transfer data outside KSA and in such cases we will implement appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data.
When we send (or allow a third party to send) your personal data outside KSA, we will ensure that we have taken steps to protect your data in accordance with the PDPL and its cross-border transfer requirements. Depending on the circumstances, this may include entering into standard contractual clauses, relying on binding corporate rules, transferring to a recipient that holds an appropriate certificate of accreditation, or relying on another transfer mechanism permitted under the PDPL. You can obtain a copy and/or further information about these measures by contacting the KSA Distributor or RYOBI as described in this Privacy Policy.
STORAGE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary in connection with our relationship with you. This retention period may depend on whether you visit our Site and whether we need to retain your personal data to comply with applicable laws.
Where we use cookies or other technologies to process your personal data, we will retain such data for the periods described in our KSA Cookie Policy: [
https://ae.ryobitools.eu/footer-links-ar/cookie-statement-ksa/].
Where we process your data for the purpose of sending newsletters, we will process your personal data for the period during which we have valid consent from you to receive such newsletters, and we will destroy all such data immediately after you withdraw your consent.
